Yes, in most cases. The existing fabric is moved onto the new motorised track, cut to the size of your window. At the measuring visit we check the weight of the fabric and the mounting space, then confirm the exact solution.
The curtains can be operated by hand at any time — you pull the fabric as with a conventional curtain, without forcing or damaging the mechanism. The battery versions work normally during a power cut.
Almost imperceptible. Somfy curtain motors are designed specifically for bedrooms and living rooms, with dedicated silent modes — you can schedule the morning opening without the noise waking you before the light does.
Not necessarily. For houses under construction or renovation we recommend the wired version (the most reliable in the long term), but for finished homes there are radio and battery solutions that are fitted without any work on the walls.
Yes. Through TaHoma the curtains integrate with the rest of the compatible equipment in the house, and for KNX systems we use Glydea motors with direct integration — we are a certified KNX integrator and design everything as a single system.
The price depends on the width of the windows, the weight of the curtains and the type of control chosen — which is why the quote is made after measuring, free of charge. Fitting itself usually takes a few hours per room, and the full TaHoma configuration is done the same day.
